May 07, 2015 · My Asus RT-N56U as a secondary router has gateway 192.168.1.1. I set the operation mode to Access Point.. set the 5.0 to Bridged/AP Client Only and the 2.4 to Bridged/AP Only. Then I assigned a new ip address of the Asus to 192.168.0.3 to make it connect to the DLink.. still didnt work.

I am wanting to use the ASUS RT-N56U as an access point, i have the 'RT-N56U_3.4.3.9-097_base.trx' installed. As soon as i enable the Access Point mode for the router im unable to connect to the routers GUI menu via the IP address anymore, the router doesn't even show up if i use a program like 'Advanced IP Scanner'. The router still works as it should im just unable to connect to it anymore
